Valencia: A City of the Sun

31/07/2014 by Ann Oslo

Some of the travel spots in the world are just sunnier than everything else. Winter may come and it may go, but somehow, these spots always seem to soak up the sun enough to have plenty for the winter as well. Everything around these cities and towns is actually soaked in the sun, from the architecture to the people.

Valencia is one of these places. Soaked in the beautiful sun of Spain, Valencia has so much to offer that it would be a real pity not to see it at least once in your lifetime. From beaches to churches, there will be something interesting to do for everyone and you will realize that the moment you step into the city.

What to Do and See in Valencia

Warm and comfortable, Valencia is a city that deserves everyone’s attention because it can really be interesting for a lot of people. If you are the kind looking for grand architecture when you go there, do make sure you visit the Valencia Cathedral, a church that somehow brings together the Roman Catholicism grandeur typical of all the cathedrals and motifs that seem to belong more to the Arabs than to the Christians.

Furthermore, if you want to see some very beautiful art exhibitions, do not miss out on the Museo de Belles Arts de Valencia because it will be definitely worth it. And if you are a sports fan, try to go there when there is a game on the spectacular Mestalla Stadium which can accommodate no less than 55,000 people (thus being ranked the 5th largest in Spain, a country purely smitten with its soccer teams).

Last, but not least, if you are visiting Valencia with your family and children, do not forget about L’Oceanografic (and oceanarium you will find in East Valencia) and about the Valencia Bioparc (a zoo measuring no less than 10 hectares). Also, do visit the City of Arts and Sciences entertainment complex because there will be a lot of things for you to do there.

And, after so much wandering, head towards the isle of Ibiza to soak up the sun yourself as well. Allow yourself to immerse into the beauty of this isle and into its magnificent vibes and you will come back home as a new man (or woman, for that matter).

How to Make Your Stay in Valencia Even Better

Valencia has a lot of touristic attractions and if you will want to see them all, you will have to make sure that you have the perfect means of transportation. Calling for the services of a luxury rent-a-car company can push your holiday even further and it can actually make you feel like a king or queen. And even if you may think that this will be very expensive, it is actually quite affordable! The truth is that you are worth such a royal treatment, at least at your departure from the hotel to the airport if not for the entire stay there. The feeling of being transported by your personal chauffeur will be worth every single penny!
