Travel Checklist for Her

02/03/2014 by Ann Oslo

A useful thing any lady should keep in mind is that the most important step when planning a holiday is to make a checklist of all the necessary travel items. The worst nightmare is to go on vacation and forget vital things at home. This is why, having a narrow check once or even twice before leaving home is a must for every responsible woman out there.

The first thing is to take a paper and a pen and start writing. Think of all the things you need to use every day and then add things that are generally important when travelling.

Once the list is written move to more practical things like actually spreading all the items across your room and see if you have everything on the list. Every woman knows how important it is to have clean clothes at any given moment. Therefore, bring sufficient clothes with you but always pack extra, just in case.

Also, keep in mind that you can use a clothing item in a few different ways. A sarong can very well be worn as a skirt, a towel or even a shawl. Think in layers; don’t pack heavy clothes but opt for light clothing and pieces that can be easily combined.

Don’t forget the camera. A vacation is all about beautiful memories and wonderful times. If you don’t have a good photo camera then you should invest in one. Remember that although quality is essential to also choose the one that suits your needs and budget, of course.

Pick quality over quantity, as well. Don’t pack 10 pair of boots or high heels. Pack one item but make it sure it’s in good shape and it works with all clothes.

To save space in your suitcase, consider investing in a 2 in 1 handbag beach bag such as the Ted Baker bag by Diffusion Online (pink striped Telley Women’s Flip Fop & Ikon bag).

Don’t forget about sun screen. Whether is summer or winter you don’t want to damage your skin. Choose one that’s over 30 SPF if you want a good protection. Or, you could use a face cream during the day that contains a sun screen factor to ease your job.

Don’t leave home before checking all the electrical appliances and make sure somebody will visit the place from time to time to make sure everything is in order. The less thing you need is stress in your fantastic holiday!
