So you are going on a vacation and you cant be more excited! But before you start day dreaming about the things you are going to do there, there is an important thing that you mustn’t loose the sight of, and that’s packing. Packing is pivotal, and getting it right is essential. It can get overwhelming if you under or overdo it.
Make a list
No one can underestimate the power of a list. It is your number one weapon against disorganization. If you do have a tendency to procrastinate, making a list is a great way to keep you up to speed with your packing. You can start days and even weeks in advance, by just making a rough list of what you wish to carry and what need to carry
Think travel pack
When it comes to packing toiletries and other essentials like hair drier, iron, flashlights etc., it is best to carry them in miniature. Although this may not be something people keep at home, it doesn’t hurt to buy them from the supermarket and just reserve these few things for travelling. You will be surprised to see how much room and weight going pony size, will save you.
Don’t pack things you won’t use at home
A good rule of thumb while packing clothes or even appliances or cosmetics is, to never pack stuff which you would not use at home. Your vacation is not the place you start experimenting with new appliances just because its travel friendly or someone said it was.
Better safe than sorry
When on a vacation, you are exploring new regions and new cultures, and many a times they may not share your dress code. Which is why it is always good to carry a jacket (for men) or a cardigan (for women), if the need arises. You never know when you might find the need to just throw it on.
The right luggage and packing one extra bag
Many-a-times we tend to opt for the wrong luggage carriers and regret our choice at the airport, or the railway station. Luggage superstores have a number of choices for the right luggage options for your vacations such as the Samsonite luggage linked before. Although luggage carriers with wheels are great for airports, they don’t do well if you have lot of carrying around to do. And another great tip is to carry an extra airbag, just in case your shopping spree gets out of hand.
