How to Stay Fit While On Holiday

17/05/2013 by Ann Oslo

People  love to travel and to enjoy a nice holiday. But because, in our everyday life, we tend to exhaust ourselves with work, stress and different worries, when we do get rid of all of these concerns and actually take some time for our needs and plan a vacation, we come back home with some extra pounds that for some, are not the ideal thing. But how to spend a lovely vacation and miss all the fun that great international or traditional food has to offer? As some say, you’ll probably won’t have this opportunity another time.

If you’re are willing to follow some simple tricks you won’t have any problems with your weight and you’ll be fit your entire holiday.

First thing, when making a holiday deal with your tour operator you shouldn’t opt  for a full service hotel package. If you really want to know the place you’re travelling, and experiencing their culture and getting a true, genuine feeling of your holiday you better try to rent a place that has all the facilities that you desire. You can find a very good offer on the internet from property owners; if, you have some sort of timeshare ownership and you want to spend your holiday in a different country or location it is advisable to contact services like Right Choice Transfer to make a good deal with your contract.

Try to make as many walks as possible instead of using a car or public transport. This way you get to see all the gorgeous sights and capture them on camera for beautiful memories. Plus, you’ll get killer feet in no time. If you can, plan an entire day at a spa. Delight yourself with all sorts of therapies and massages that will leave your skin looking fresher than ever. You deserve at least one pampering day, don’t you?

Regarding the food, while on holiday, eating without worrying is the best therapy. Don’t stress yourself about how many calories the dish has: eat what you want and just enjoy a good company and a great scenario. Stress is the killer in every diet: happiness, in exchange, releases the endorphins which fastens your metabolism.

Spend time with your family, go on a lovely walk, try an interesting sport, play with your kids; all of these activities will not only charge your batteries to the fullest but, will also keep your body fit! Have a wonderful holiday! And remember to smile!
