From Vegas To the Desert, It’s Sunshine All Year Round!

There are many places you can visit to enjoy a warm vacation. Some destinations are filled with sunshine all year round and attract many tourists because of their favorable climate. Places such as Las Vegas and Abu Dhabi that exceed 100 degrees and receive more than 314 hours of sunshine in summer deserve a visit!

Las Vegas is the most populous city in the state of Nevada in the southwestern United States. It is lies in the Mojave Desert and thus has a subtropical, desert climate. The Mojave Desert covers southern Nevada and parts of California and Arizona. Nevada’s location here makes it a popular inland summer destination for many American tourists. Nevada is popularly known as one of the sunniest parts in the world. Las Vegas itself experiences hot, dry summers, temperatures peaking at 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

But if the heat is too hot for you, then escape into one of Vegas’s many casinos. Vegas casinos are legendary and there are many facts and myths which you may not know.

Gambling was not always legal

Gambling was not always legal in Las Vegas. Betting was officially banned in 1910 but was legalized in 1931.

It is estimated that as many as 500 couples get married here per day. That amounts to about 100 000 per year.

Abu Dhabi is the capital of the United Arab Emirates. Situated on the Persian Gulf in the Arabian Peninsula, the city is a popular holiday destination for people from all over the world because of its natural desert beauty and sprawling beaches. Abu Dhabi has a hot desert climate so hot temperatures persist throughout the year. Summer is between June and September is said to be extremely hot. In fact, the mean monthly sunshine hours amounts to 314 in July.

Abu Dhabi is truly the gem of the dessert. While Abu Dhabi is often overshadowed by its fellow emirate Dubai, the town actually has a lot to offer.

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi is home to the world’s largest theme park, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi. The theme park is based on Ferrari and F1 racing. It is a family destination with activities suitable for adults and children such as exciting rides and a tour of the historic Ferrari factory where you can see how this famous automobile is manufactured.

Abu Dhabi is the largest emirate

Geographically, Abu Dhabi is the largest emirate. It is also the most populous city in the UAE as well as, according to the Mercer Quality of Living Index, the safest city. The city is said to be “crime-free”.

Alice Springs, Australia

With a maximum summer temperature of 35.6 degrees Celsius, Alice Springs is fondly known by Australians as the heart of “The Red Centre”. It is also the Aboriginal art capital of Central Australia. You can visit many art galleries which provide important insight into native Australian culture. Its central location in the Northern Territory makes Alice Springs more appealing. You can easily visit Ayers Rock from here. The Alice Springs airport is also conveniently located.

In addition to being the centre of traditional Aboriginal culture, Alice Springs is abundant in natural desert life and beauty. Attractions include The MacDonnell Range and James Range, Standley Chasm, Kings Canyon, and some meteorite craters.

Tourism

Alice Springs is a remote location. Nevertheless, it draws around 300 000 tourists a year. Tourism is thus an important industry for this region.
