Climate;

The best time to visit the Central Kalahari Game Reserve is from January through to April. This period of time is just after the rainy season, where the fresh grasses are grazed and predators hunt for prey. Seasons at the Game reserve consist of very dry and cold winters from April through to October. The hot, green and wet season in summer is from November through to March. During the wet season, animals at Central Kalahari are more concentrated making game viewing extraordinary at this time of year. It is also best for game viewing in the dry season for the less confident off-road drivers to prevent getting stuck in mud. Central Kalahari promises awesome African safari experiences throughout the year as game viewing is great throughout the year.

Central Kalahari Game Reserve offers guests the opportunity for the perfect wilderness safari experiences, connecting with the surroundings of the reserve and amazing wildlife. The game reserve has a variety of Camp sites situated in different parts of the Game reserve which include the Kori, Sunday Pan, Lengau, Piper Pan and more. The Camp sites are self-sufficient, meaning that visitors have to supply own water usage, food as well as tents. The camp sites do supply a shower enclosure with a hanging bucket shower and a pit toilet. Other Accommodation facilities include Dinake Safari Lodge, Tau Pan Camp, Deception Valley Lodge, Haina Kalahari Lodge and the Grasslands Bushman Lodge.
