Best Sunsets From Around the World

22/05/2013 by Ann Oslo

Watching the sunset is a feature on most people’s holiday itineraries. It doesn’t matter where you are it is a sight to behold. However, there are some especially cool spots around the world where watching the sunset looks that extra bit special.

Visiting Café Del Mar on Ibiza to watch the sunset is like a rite of passage. Go to Ibiza and tell people you didn’t do it and you will be faced with a perplexed expression. Looking at this picture it is easy to see why. Even the travel advisors at Co-op Travel insist you go!

Australia is a country where you are likely to find a beautiful sunset anywhere. Here Long Jetty in New South Wales looks resplendent in the dimming sun.

The Grand Canyon is arguably one of the world’s greatest natural wonders. Vast stretches of rock formations that defy explanation. Catching the sunset over it only adds to its unique beauty. This was taken from Hopi Point, South Rim, which looks like a great spot.

Dubai’s most iconic landmark can be a surprisingly tranquil place despite the humdrum of activity that often circulates it. It is also a great place to kick back and watch the sun slowly creep behind the horizon.

The Pyramids in Egypt are a testament to the great feats of architecture; arguably unrivalled today. Admiring them as the sun sets only stands to make them look more impressive.
