Hi! I’m Ann Oslo, and this is my site about traveling the world.
Ok, my surname isn’t actually Oslo, but I use that on this site because that’s where I’m from – Oslo, Norway. So, since Norway is the second least densely populated country in Europe (or so says Wikipedia) you might not know all that much about it. You might never have tasted the deliciousness that are lutefisk and smalahove, or have read much by Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson. But you probably know one very well-circulated fact about Norway:
In wintertime, some areas of Norway are dark all day long for up to months.
Oslo’s not one of those places (we’re too far south,) but from about the beginning of December to the beginning of February, we only get a few precious hours of sunlight a day. And some people are ok with that.
I am not one of those people.
So I travel the world looking for sunny destinations and warm weather locales. And I share my experiences here. At Ann’s Sunny Day, you’ll find all kinds of adventure anecdotes, travel tips and tricks and destination recommendations. You’ll also get to keep track of me as I make my way from sunny spot to sunny spot all over the world. My goal? Keep warm, get a tan (just kidding, I can’t tan for my life!) and share the story with others who might want to do the same. This is the eternal summer of a traveling girl.
